Tempo 100 with trailer?
Under certain conditions, a motor vehicle with a trailer on motorways and motorways may travel 100 km/ h. The 3rd Ordinance of the 9th Exemption Regulation to the StVZO determines the necessary conditions for this. Thus, the regulation is adapted to the technical innovations such as safety coupling with stabilization device (so-called stabiliser coupling) and ESP/ TSP. You will receive the 100 km/ h approval from the test engineers of KÜS after a positive check of the prerequisites.

What should be done to use the possibilities of the exemption regulation?
Guide your trailer, which you want to use at 100 km/ h, to us. We will check the fulfillment of all conditions and provide you with a form for the subsequent correction of the vehicle documents of the trailer by the registration authority and a detailed information sheet. By submitting this form, the registration authority will certify the maximum permissible speed of the combination of 100 km/ h by entering the vehicle documents of the trailer and give you a sealed Tempo 100 km/ h sticker, which you only have to attach to the back of the trailer , a online calculator that calculates the permissible weights for you can be found at www.kues.de (opens a new window).
